Setup Restore Environment in Azure<\/h2>\n

This is best setup well before a restore is needed so it is ready to be used.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Sign into Azure Portal with account you want to restore in to<\/li>\n
  2. Create a new resource group. Then create the following itmes inside that resource group<\/li>\n
  3. Create a Virtual Network\n
      \n
    1. Create network with same IP network details as source VM<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    2. Create a Network Security Group<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Setup Veeam restore environment with Azure Credentials<\/h2>\n

      This part can also be set up ahead of time if you have a VBR server. Otherwise this can be setup on CyberSecure’s infrastructure<\/p>\n

      1. Open Veeam Backup & Replication console<\/li>\n
      2. Go to Main Menu<\/strong> > Credentials and Passwords<\/strong> > Cloud Credentials<\/strong><\/li>\n
      3. Add…<\/strong> > Microsoft Azure Compute Account<\/strong><\/li>\n
      4. Select a Name and click Next<\/li>\n
      5. Select Microsoft Azure, Global<\/strong> and click Next<\/li>\n
      6. Select Create a new account<\/strong> and click Next<\/li>\n
      7. Go to https:\/\/microsoft.com\/devicelogin<\/a> and paste in the generated code<\/li>\n
      8. Sign in with Azure account you want to restore in to<\/li>\n
      9. Click Next<\/strong> > Finish<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Restore the VM into Azure<\/h2>\n

        This assumes the backups are already available from the Veeam Backup & Replication Console<\/p>\n

        1. Right click the agent you wish to restore and select Restore to Microsoft Azure…<\/strong><\/li>\n
        2. Select the point in time<\/li>\n
        3. Details should be auto populated from previous step, click Next\n
            \n
          1. You might see a message about storage accounts. Just click Yes<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
          2. Change VM name if required<\/li>\n
          3. Change VM details if required<\/li>\n
          4. Select and existing or create a new resource group<\/li>\n
          5. Assign network and security groups<\/li>\n
          6. Next<\/strong>, Next<\/strong>, Finish<\/strong><\/li>\n
          7. Wait for restore to complete<\/li>\n
